I set MPE up on my PC originally only for Device A and the sycing is working perfectly. I have 2 Android devices, call them Device A and Device B. I have noticed something else which may be related to the Calendar problem. I have tried ticking al the boxes but no luck so far. You can use the 'Manage local calendar' to create a new calendar to sync to, then choose this in 'Calendar to sync'. I sync to my Google calendar (my gmail address) but turn Google sync off before the first sync with Outlook. The on eto 'tick' is the on eyou wish to display in your calendar app (which should have an option to display one or more calendars). I have no idea which ones to tick and what the effect will be as I cannot see which one actually refers to my Android calendar. It gives me a tick list with the following 6 items: On the phone check MPE Settings > Calendars to sync. I cannot find any MyPhoneExplorer instructions to help solve the problem and I do not know if it is my Calendar App causing the problem or if there are some parameters which I am not setting. I thought maybe it was the Calendar App causing the problem so I have tried installing Google Calendar but this similarly failed to sync at all. In particular it does not sync Outlook with the HTC-provided Calendar App at all. I've now acquired a new HTC handset (Android 4.4) and synchronising is proving far more difficult. ![]() I am using MyPhoneExplorer with an old Android (4.1) handset without any difficulty for updating my phonebook and calendar based on my PC's Outlook. Thanks again for the assistance.FJ Software :: Thema anzeigen - Help with syncing Android calendarįJ Software Foren-Übersicht » English section Press the minus sign next to the second contact (and or third, fourth, etc.) and it will separate the contacts. There is a minus (-) to the right of these. Press on that field and it will open up a new screen with the list of joined contacts related to this contact. After opening up the edit screen, scroll down the contact screen and you will find a field with two (or more) green telephone symbols and the word "joined". If you have a contact that is joined to one or more contacts and you want them separated, follow the procedure shown by zillertaler up until the point where you are supposed to choose "separate". I found a forum where others had posted about the same problem and the procedure is a little different than on earlier versions of Android. I don't know if this is a change in Version 2.2, but I didn't have that option. I just wanted to mention this in case anyone else was unable to find the option to "Separate". I think I'll just continue to syncrhonize contacts & calendar the free, automatic, foolproof way.īut I hope that the original poster, and developer, Zillerthaler comes back again and clarifies this important issue. ![]() So Ironass is saying that I have the option to go through the massive hassle of reviewing each data field for each my 1000 contacts to determine which data field is more up-to-date? And if I make a mistake, I permanently ruin my Outlook contacts? No thanks. ![]() ![]() (Fortunately I had a backup of my Outlook contacts.)Īre you guys saying that you've done multiple 2-way synchronizations between Outlook and an Android device and that the unsupported Outlook data fields didn't get deleted upon 2-way resynchronization (back to Outlook)? Do you guys use the unsupported data fields, like "Categories", and "Business2 phone"? Apparently MyPhoneExplorer thought that the contacts on the phone (which were missing the unsupported data fields) were "newer" than the contacts in Outlook, and so it overwrote those contacts, essentially deleting any data in the unsupported fields. (It just didn't export the unsupported data fields like you said.) But MyPhoneExplorer did delete my data in Outlook when I resynchronized from the phone back to Outlook. MyPhoneExplorer didn't delete my data from Outlook when I exported to the phone.
